Water Purification Systems

What is Filtered Water?

The answer is quite simple, really. A water filter removes impurities by lowering contamination of water using one of three applications: a fine physical barrier, a chemical process, or a biological process. Filters cleanse water for many different reasons, including agricultural irrigation, public and private aquaria, swimming pools, and in our case, safe and accessible drinking water.

So filtered water is liquid that has been purified by the removal of any unwanted materials that may cause water to be unsuitable for drinking. This is an important process that takes place and allows for the ultimate convenience that water dispensers were built for in the first place.

Water purification systems usually make use of four stages in the filtration process:

1. Raw water input comes either from a storage facility (bottle, etc.) or straight from the municipal system.
2. The carbon pre-treatment then filters the raw water to significantly reduce suspended particles and volatile organic compounds such as trihalomethanes, chlorine, chloroform, chlorinated hydrocarbons and herbicides. This process guarantees the effective removal of contaminants like bacteria, cysts, viruses, protozoan parasites, arsenic, fluoride, lead, heavy metals, mercury, nitrates, radium and sodium.
3. Distillate condensing systems continuously cool steam and maintain water purity.
4. Purified water is now collected and stored in the reservoir, making it suitable for drinking.

The benefits of water purification systems are clear as they provide consistent purity, litre after litre. Frigmac is both a specialist supplier and repairer of these systems. Let us help you choose the best water cooler for your home or business.
